Hidden Talent: Most people don’t know that I like to dance. I actually performed with a ballet company while working in Beaumont and did a ballet solo en pointe. You're most likely to see me around town at: A yoga studio, working out at the gym, or at one of the local ice skating rinks I also enjoy reading, spending time with my family and watching movies I love taking yoga and barre classes along with Pilates. I’ve most recently discovered a passion for figure skating and competed in my first figure skating competition in May.

Role Model: My parents because they dedicated their lives to working hard and instilling morals, values and character in my sister and I.įavorite Sports Teams: I really like watching basketball and have been a Cleveland Cavaliers fan for years.įavorite Music: I like all types of music but my favorite is probably Latin. This is one of the highest honors a broadcast meteorologist can attain. My parents were hit again by an EF-4 tornado during the super tornado outbreak of Apthat once again destroyed their home.Īwards/Honors: In 2008, I completed the requirements to earn the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal from the American Meteorological Society. The first was back in 1995 on May 18 during the afternoon. An F-4 tornado with winds over 200 mph ripped through my family’s neighborhood, destroying our home. My family has been hit twice by major tornadoes. The timing was significant because it happened during Super Bowl week being held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. I also covered a major snow and ice storm in Dallas back in February 2011 that crippled the city. 26, 2015, I covered a deadly tornado outbreak that kept me on the air with wall-to-wall severe weather coverage for over 8 hours!
